Under Employer Job Offer Streams

February 2, 2026
On February 2, 2026, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) issued multiple rounds of targeted Invitations to Apply (ITAs) under the Employer Job Offer streams, focusing on physicians, healthcare professionals, early childhood educators, and candidates in regional communities.
These invitations were issued through Ontario’s Expression of Interest (EOI) system and apply only to candidates who received a direct invitation.
Physicians Invited Under the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream
Ontario issued 129 targeted invitations to candidates working as physicians under the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream.
Eligible candidates were required to have:
- An EOI score of 33 or higher
- A valid job offer in one of the following NOC codes:
- NOC 31100 – Specialists in clinical and laboratory medicine
- NOC 31101 – Specialists in surgery
- NOC 31102 – General practitioners and family physicians
Only profiles created and attested by January 28, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. were considered. Candidates who received an invitation may now submit an application under the Foreign Worker stream.
Regional Economic Development through Immigration (REDI) Invitations
On the same date, 47 targeted invitations were issued under the REDI pilot to candidates currently residing in Canada who may qualify under one of the following streams:
- Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker
- Employer Job Offer: International Student
- Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills
These invitations were limited to candidates working in the Lanark and Leeds and Grenville census divisions.
As of July 2, 2025, all Employer Job Offer stream applications require the employer to submit the job offer through the OINP Employer Portal. Only candidates whose employers completed this step were eligible to be selected.
Minimum score requirements and eligible occupations varied by stream, including roles in accounting, information technology, nursing, early childhood education, healthcare support, engineering technology, graphic design, and skilled trades.
Major Healthcare and Early Childhood Education Draw
Ontario also issued 1,649 targeted invitations to candidates currently residing in Canada who work in priority healthcare occupations or as early childhood educators and assistants (NOC 42202).
Invitations were issued under:
- Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream (minimum score 36)
- Employer Job Offer: International Student stream (minimum score 56)
Eligible occupations included registered nurses, nurse practitioners, licensed practical nurses, nurse aides, physician assistants, allied health professionals, and early childhood educators.
Application Deadlines and Next Steps
Candidates who received an invitation must carefully follow the required steps to apply. Employers must first submit an application for approval of the employment position through the Employer Portal within 14 calendar days of the invitation date. After the employer submission, candidates must submit their own application and payment through the OINP e-Filing Portal within 17 calendar days of receiving the invitation.
Applicants should note that the new application file number (starting with JOXX) is different from the original EOI file number, which will appear greyed out in the portal. This is normal and not an error.
Candidates who received an invitation do not need to contact OINP.
